Job Title: Digital Platform Consultant

Job Location:  Nairobi

Duration of assignment: The assignment will be for a period of three months, upon agreeing on the commencement date.

Job Description

AFIDEP seeks to contract a consultant to set up a digital platform and train relevant staff on design and publishing of our digital publications. The consultant will work alongside our in-house Policy, Engagement and Communications’ team to illustrate still and motion elements from the content provided.

Responsibilities

To achieve the objective of the assignment, the consultant will perform the following tasks;

  • Generate concepts for layout and general outlook of the digital report based on content provided.
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for electronic, web-based layout of the content.
  • Design and edit artwork, photos, charts, and other graphic elements; in electronic format, adaptable for use online.
  • Create different illustrative materials such as animation, infographics, icons, illustrations, etc.
  • Ensure consistency with AFIDEP’s branding and messaging across all visuals.
  • Submit all files to AFIDEP on Google drive

Deliverables

  1. The final version of designed
    • Digital Annual report 2020
    • E-newsletter
  2. A 30 sec – 1minute teaser of the 2020 annual report
  3. Set of infographics in both raw and processed form as a summary of the achievements
  4. Deliver on a training of relevant staff and submit a training guide/manual 

Qualifications

  • A creative, innovative thinker with excellent and unique design skills
  • Knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Avid, Final cut or any other graphic design software and print
  • Initiative and sound judgment and ability to understand and process feedback to improve assignments
  • Good planner and organized to be able to deliver quality work within set tight timelines
