Creative Manager at BURN

BURN designs, manufactures, and distributes aspirational fuel-efficient cooking products that save lives and forests in the developing world.BURN has revolutionized the global cookstove sector by proving the business case for selling a high quality, locally manufactured and unsubsidized cookstoves.Since 2013, BURN has sold 200,000+ high quality, locally manufactured and unsubsidized jikokoas â„¢ stoves in East Africa. These stoves have helped 1,000,000+ beneficiaries save $39 million in fuel expenditures and 626,221 tons of wood while reducing indoor air pollution by 65%. BURN currently sells ~10,000 stoves per month and intend to double sales by the end of 2017.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of creative content including ideation, design, production and distribution of corporate marketing content for BURN
  • Developing and executing creative work (Film, Still, Brochures, Newsletters, Fliers etc.) that fulfil the organizations objectives
  • Designing and producing product catalogues and promotional brochures
  • Creating new website content
  • Managing website
  • The Creative manager will work closely with the CEO. In-house graphic designer and commercial marketing team
  • Ensure that all artwork work is delivered according to brand and corporate identity guidelines
  • Working to short deadlines and fast turnaround times
  • Constructing Artwork master templates for use throughout the organization
  • Establishes and implements design and format standards and processes to produce consistent and high-quality results
  • The ideal candidate will have all the technical skills required so that all work can be completed in-house. Where not possible, the creative director will select and manage third-party vendors
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Oversee the designing and execution of quarterly digital campaigns aimed at enhancing the brands position in the market or products uptake
  • Through collaborating with the internal teams and stakeholders, create and optimize content for digital distribution

Desired Experience

  • Previous Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a related industry
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • Flawless English Language skills
  • 2 years Videography
  • 2 years website management
  • Creative thinker able to influence target demographic
