Title: Sales Manager (Filling and Packaging Equipment)

 Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial filling & packaging machinery for the Food and Beverage industry. In an effort to build a regional presence, they seek to hire an aggressive Sales Manager to pioneer their operations in Kenya.

Job Summary

Responsible for the Sales operation including prospection, presentation, negotiation, deal-closing, follow-up on payment and delivery, for the entire range of industrial filling & packaging machines.

Daily Tasks

  • Daily customer field visits to target new prospects and maintain relations with existing customers
  • Promote new technologies, analyze customer requirements, and prepare RFQ’s and quotations
  • Daily reporting on CRM regarding all activities conducted

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing a high level of technical product knowledge about all the machines offered
  • Ensure solutions proposed conform to customer requirements, and follow-up on orders until successful installation
  • Constant communication with European partners for project technical evaluation and management
  • Achieve yearly sales target
  • Presenting the company in a highly professional and corporate manner
  • Respond to all stakeholder queries within 24 hours

 Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in mechanical or electrical Engineering, sales certification will be a preference
  • Must have 5 years of experience of technical sales experience selling – food processing, filling, bottling, coding, packaging, inspection or conveying machines from European Brands
  • Experience as a service engineer will be useful
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Negotiation: understand and nurture people relationships
  • Reporting: to describe in technical details the work done and feedback from/to stakeholders
  • Communicate candidly with all stakeholders about all topics
  • Complete tasks fully and follow-up until completion
  • Go out of their way to complete tasks within deadline
  • Pleasant, respectful and professional relations with all stakeholders
