Liaises with: Warehouse Officer; Logistics & Procurement Officer

Duty Station: Kakuma, Kenya

Job Summary

The Workshop Officer will be responsible for managing the Workshop Staff and facilities and ensuring that safety is always observed and workshop well secured. S/he will establish appropriate set-up and budget to deliver an efficient repair and maintenance service. Establish and list vehicle assessment/diagnosis reports and make technical recommendations. The role is responsible for scheduling the maintenance of partner’s generators and ensuring that the repairs carried out meet standard requirements.

Qualifications

 Degree in mechanical engineering/Higher National Diploma in mechanical engineering with more than 10 years of experience or its equivalent.

 Relevant training in administration/asset management and supplies

 Minimum 5 years work experience in a comparable position preferably with an INGO.

Skills and competencies

 Business oriented and analytical thinker.

 Experience in Automotive engineering/Logistics management

 Experience in spare parts management

 Ability to take initiative and work independently

 Good organisational and team skills.

 Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies (ERP software, email, internet and computer applications)

 INGO experience and understanding of humanitarian sector- an added advantage.

 Commitment to and understanding of AAH-I’s vision, mission and values.
